Job summary
You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) of NAVSUP FLC SIG GF.
Major duties
You will manage the accountability or destruction of Communications Security (COMSEC) material on a computerized management database using the National Security Agency local COMSEC software. You will control and maintain appropriate access to databases (e.g. Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Scattered Castle, Gatekeeper, Case Adjudication Tracking System [CATS]) for individual security program management. You will maintain accuracy of a command personnel database that stores personnel information, clearance access, and cases under review. You will administer and direct the Information, Physical, Personnel, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection, and Industrial programs according to Dept. of Defense and Navy regulations, instructions, and policies. You will develop and manage a security program that protects personnel, information, or material for the organization. You will prepare reports outlining security study findings and recommendations for higher authority support.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing the various security disciplines of Information and Material Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Antiterrorism/Force Protection, Industrial Security and Communications Security (COMSEC) to resolve security problems. 2)Apply security requirements and solutions to workplace incidents. 3)Provide recommendations for key decisions and policy development for short- and long-term security planning.
