About the position: This position is located at the Seaside Restaurant in Okinawa, Japan.
Major duties
Responsible for the economic and efficient operation of the Seaside Inn. Oversees food and beverage service. Makes recommendations for menu items, pricing, food preparation and serving options, special events, room layout, bar service, etc. Plans and caries out special functions. Coordinates functions with internal and external organizations as necessary. Ensues proper protocol is practiced. Implements and ensures compliance with local and higher-level directives, implements procedures and programs to ensure high standards of operations. Provides input for a business plan which includes financial goals and initiatives to improve operations. Provides input for budgets, reviews financial results and makes recommendations to maintain a solid financial condition for the restaurant. Oversees all purchasing, cash accountability, inventory and property requirements. Ensures proper internal control measures are in place. Responsible for compliance with safety program requirements. Maintains an active and constructive customer satisfaction program. Supervises staff overseeing kitchen staff through a subordinate supervisor. Ensures compliance with EEO and personnel directives. Interviews and selects, prepares work schedules, assigns duties, establishes performance standards, provides training, evaluates work performance, initiates personnel actions, submits employees for recognition, resolves grievances, keeps staff informed, and maintains employee records. Establishes and implements a comprehensive training program. Maintains a safe and sanitary working environment. Works under the supervision of the Enlisted Club Complex Manager. Position is a position of trust. Position is covered under the Air Force Performance Based Awards (PBA) Program and is subject to program requirements and restrictions. Position requires long periods of standing, walking and occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds.
Education
