Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Major duties
Assist the Manager in the supervision, management, and administration of a recreational activity. Plans and implements the various phases and projects of the program and handles problems and deviations in accordance with standing instructions, and established procedures. Assists in carrying out program projects, primarily in program planning, staff training, and administrative duties and annual budget. Assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of recreation aids. Ensures the work is completed in compliance with established procedures and instructions. Trains new employees, instructs proper procedures and solves problems related to work. Makes reservations and collects fees. Checks campers in and out and inspects sites upon patron arrival and departure. Assists the Manager in planning, organizing, and hosting special events. Supervises safety operations. Reports any requirements for maintenance, cleaning and/or repair to the Manager as required. Assumes operational duties in the absence of the Manager. Supervises employees to include assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Must be alert to alcohol abuse and take appropriate action. Develops and ensures implementation of an activity safety program in accordance with the Base Safety Program. Conducts safety meetings at least quarterly. Advises employees of available safety regulations, instructions, materials and equipment. Promptly reports workplace accidents to the Human Resources Office. Ensures safety training is provided to employees. Complies with OSHA standards and takes action to correct unsafe or unhealthy working conditions. Ensures employees understand safety infractions that can result in disciplinary actions and follows through with appropriate action. Ensures minimal loss of duty by complying with ¿Return To Work¿ program initiatives, and following up on employee well-being. Performs other duties as assigned. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify, and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

Qualification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge and experience in a variety of recreational activities with preference at a lodging or campground facility. Must have knowledge of equipment, supplies and procedures in order to maintain efficient functioning of the operation. Must have the ability to work independently. Must be able to work irregular hours. Must possess or have the ability to obtain CPR certification from the American Red Cross. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
