About the position: This position is located at the Arts and Crafts Center on Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan.
Major duties
This position is located in the Arts & Crafts Center of the 18th Force Support Squadron Kadena AB. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of the Arts & Crafts program within the Frame, Ceramics and/or Graphic Shops. Prepares orders for customers and activities within the FSS Squadron. Prepares workorders for customers to make payment to central cashier. Helps with conducting periodic inventory of all merchandise and equipment within the various shops. Assures that the shop environment is in a clean and orderly condition. Demonstrates basic framing, ceramic and/or graphic techniques as necessary. Follows and enforces practices of safety rules with customers. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor or appointed personnel. Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly and accurately in English. Must be physically able to lift and carry items up to and including 25 pounds and be able to work in a dusty environment. Position requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, and lifting. Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Some computer skills are desirable.
Education
