Job summary

You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the NAVAL INSTALLATION COMMAND of COMMANDER NAVY REGION KOREA .

Major duties

You will serve as the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) responsible for identifying internal and external information program requirements, information required, needs of the targeted audience, and most appropriate means of disseminating information. You will plan, coordinate, and execute community projects in the most cost effective and efficient manner possible. You will collect and disseminate materials aimed at enhancing the public's understanding of Navy programs, accomplishments, and events. You will provide public affairs advice, guidance, articles, and products to the Command Triad as they relate to daily events, community relations and outreach issues, including internal and external communications and media relations. You will provide updates and manage content shared on official and non-official social media websites

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing communication strategies for promoting public awareness of an organization's mission or services; conducting research and filtering data to produce clear, logical, and concise oral and written communications AND establishing and/or maintaining close working relationships with leadership, external organizations and groups to foster improved relations between the US forces and the community. Education
