Job summary
You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center of CDR NAVY REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CMD.
Major duties
You will monitor Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center and subordinate Regional Maintenance Center's operating programs to measure progress in reaching objectives efficiently, effectively and economically You will identify actual or potential problem areas, trends, significant accomplishments, deficiencies and areas of imbalance. You will report on reviews, presenting them (orally and in writing) to managers and defend findings and recommendations when opposed You will conduct reviews and analysis of Depot and I-level maintenance processes and procedures of the various Regional Maintenance Centers You will develop recommendations based upon reviews and data collected to improve production work and the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Depot and I-level maintenance at the RMCs. You will develop and recommend processes and procedures to improve the management, operations and cost performance of all Depot and I-level production capability and capacity at the RMCs You will communicate complex information, concepts, and ideas to a wide range of audiences in order to report, inform, or persuade as required. You will develop strategies to identify weak engineering and technical practices, planning and execution maintenance inefficiencies, and training shortfalls
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reviewing analytical data to identify program deficiencies and recommend solutions for improved efficiency and effectiveness in the repair, maintenance, or modernization of ships.
