Major duties

You will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the acquisition lifecycle of submarine programs. You will conduct thorough analyses to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining acquisition documentation, coordinating with various stakeholders, and providing expert advice on acquisition strategies to optimize program outcomes. You will leverage your project management skills to track and report on program progress, ensuring that all milestones are met on time and within budget. You will utilize your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and implement process improvements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, contracting, and financial management, to achieve program goals. You will build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders will be crucial to facilitate smooth program execution and to drive continuous improvement in acquisition processes.

Qualification

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-12/13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing and managing acquisition lifecycle to ensure compliance, track program progress, mitigate risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for the optimization of outcomes and support decision-making of nuclear-powered submarines or defense programs.
