About the Position: This position is located at the Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, 59th Medical Wing, San Antonio Military Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Major duties

Assess progress in assigned program requirements by applying known methods. Refines existing work methods and/or techniques for resolution of problems. Manage budget based on project terms and conditions. Present staff studies to the Program Director and other management officials. Identify operational requirements to develop recommendations for revisions. Apply management principles to guide program accomplishment through the various phases of the acquisition cycle.

Qualification

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing program guidelines and/or regulations, analyzing the effectiveness of current programs, and advising management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
