Job summary

Major duties

You will utilize contracting and procurement specializations and applicable contract types. You will utilize government and agency-specific guidelines and business practices. You will utilize business practices and market conditions applicable to acquisition requirements. You will communicate effectively orally and in writing to advise and brief high-level command executives.

Qualification

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and evaluating contracting matters to include the initiation, development, OR recommendation of contracting policies, procedures, guidelines, or control with contracting offices; AND Developing organizational policy OR processes to provide standard approaches to contracting policies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

In addition: You possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. OR You are a current career or career-conditional employee of the Department of Defense who occupied an 1102 or contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT) in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000. OR You are a current active duty military member of the armed forces (other than Coast Guard) who occupied a contracting position or similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent) 1102 on or before September 30, 2000.
