Job summary
Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. *Bi-weekly review of applicants beginning November 26, 2024*
Major duties
Ensures an efficient dining operations in accordance with regulations and procedures. Must promote good patron relationship and enhance the image of the restaurant. Supports the Manager in the oversight of the night operations and provides instructions and guidance to staff members. Ensures the patrons receive courteous efficient service. Works with Cooks, Waiter/Waitress, Cashiers and other to ensure that the night operations run smooth. May assist staff members to provide faster service to patrons. Schedules employees and ensures adequate manning for routine operations. Ensures that all personnel are fully utilized, call in or release unnecessary personnel as the situation warrants to ensure effective labor cost. Inspects dining room facilities and employees: appearance of employees is observed, and particular attention is given to dress and cleanliness. Ensures that cashiers are following the cash handling procedures. Occasionally makes unscheduled cash counts. Evaluates employees on a timely manner. Maintaining accurate accounts and records. Prepares a report of all significant occurrences/incidents during shift (e.g. personnel/staffing problems, equipment break down or repair) Identifies and resolves problems that may arise Ensures that a thorough and comprehensive safety program is enforced. Participates in creating and promoting effective programs activities Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Knowledge of banquet operations Must possess a sharp people-oriented personality to include tact and diplomacy in deal and communicating with people to influence, obtain cooperation and assistance Must have the ability to properly supervise a group Must have the ability to render decisions. Must present a neat, well-groomed appearance
