Job summary

It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Entry/Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA J9(HAC)/HYBRID CLOUD SOLUTIONS - DATA CTR LOB/SITE MGMT BR-EU/SWA (HC34E1).
Major duties
Serves as the principal assistant to the Site Management Branch Chief. Develops written administrative policies and procedures to ensure effective management systems. Performs and maintains physical inventories of property in accordance with local and headquarters guidance and regulations. Coordinates calendars for major conferences and meetings chaired or administered by senior management. Serves as the primary point of contact and liaison for all administrative and office management issues that have the direct interest of the branch and subordinated sections.
Qualification
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-09, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience gathering data to prepare charts, briefings, and reports; managing appointment calendars; scheduling conferences or meetings; making travel arrangements; and maintaining office records. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (CON'T) Eligibility for foreign-area allowances such as Foreign Post Allowance and Living Quarter Allowance will be determined at the time of hire. The DoD policy on overseas employment for civilian employees limits overseas tours to 5 years. Extensions beyond 5 years are designed to provide management flexibility to meet defined mission requirements that otherwise cannot be made. Case-by-case extensions beyond the 5-year limit may be granted in extremely rare situations. LENGTH OF TOUR: The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months. Tours extensions may be authorized at the discretion of management. With few exceptions, DOD policy limits overseas tours to a maximum of 5 years. PASSPORT/VISA: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an official government passport and, as required by location, a VISA. No-fee passport required. US Government civilian personnel who have not received their no-fee passport prior to departing CONUS may enter the overseas foreign county (OCONUS) using a tourist passport. Civilian personnel cannot enter the overseas foreign country on ID card and/or travel orders. The passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the date of arrival in the overseas foreign country. U.S. citizens in a foreign overseas country under ordinary resident status are not eligible to apply for appointment under Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA). Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19. If an employee brings a family member to an overseas location who requires medical or dental care, then the employee will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12. If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
Education
GG-9 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement.
