Job summary

About the Position: Performs a full range of standard and nonstandard clerical assignments related to administrative, clerical, personnel, procurement, budget and office automation work. Management may select at the GS-06, or GS-07 level. Full performance level of this position is GS-07.

Major duties

Perform a variety of administrative tasks to facilitate the work of the office such as correspondence, forms, filing, mail, timekeeping, training coordination, travel authorizations vouchers, and Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs). Use multiple corporate automated information systems (AISs) to accomplish assignments. Serve as receptionist, determining the disposition of most telephone and personal inquiries relative to the overall activities of the office. Maintain schedules for the management team and the office as required. Dispatches mail and orders supplies when requested. Serve as primary or alternate timekeeper. Maintain office files according to applicable guidelines which require classifying material Serve as resource to other project/area personnel pertaining to the inputting, storing, and retrieving of information via office automation. Provides projections for such items as office supplies, cleaning materials, utilities, office automation needs, etc. As a government purchase card holder serve as source of information for procedures to be used in procuring supplies, materials, and services.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal Service (GS-05). GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes procedural and administrative work in an office environment; making official travel arrangements and submitting cost estimates to authorize travel orders in an automated system; reconciling travel vouchers; assisting with preparation and analysis of the annual operating budget; using automated personnel systems to initiate personnel actions; using financial management systems to perform duties as an official timekeeper; and completing weekly labor reports for approval. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal Service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Reasoning (Clerical/Technical) Teamwork Time in Grade Requirement for GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education
