Job summary

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. Major duties

Supports a variety of studies, systems and processes within MCCS. This includes review and submission of internal control procedures, conducting program surveys, assisting with field and MCNAFAS audits/reviews, and assisting with program analyses to determine feasibility of current and projected operating programs. Results will be driven by documenting control weaknesses and/or findings in writing, identifying operational effectiveness and objectives, and highlighting methods to increase efficiencies and productivity by use of charts, graphs and other visual tools to recommend improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency throughout MCCS. Monitors and conducts observations and tests of inventories to ensure compliance with regulations. Conducts cash verifications and assists in resolving monetary losses through suspected theft. Changes safe combinations and updates SF700s. Processes installation access requests. Assists in monthly firearms and ammunition inventory accountability audits. Assists in the investigative process of interviewing, researching of records, preparation of comprehensive reports and following leads and in the collection of information using various surveillance techniques. Reviews and interprets new and established directives, instructions, and regulations, for potential impact on program objectives, operating policies, work operations and progress. Adheres to safety regulations and standards as well as administration of the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) liaison for MCCS. Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification

Three years experience demonstrating familiarity with MCCS management policies, concepts, practices, and principles in order to identify and develop recommendations for improvement in agency operations OR practical education and experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained above. Must have knowledge of basic statistical, accounting and budget principles and techniques. Must have the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with others. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. This is a covered position for the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act for Department of the Navy civilian personnel. Due to contact with firearms, or ammunition in accomplishing work, applicant must possess the ability to successfully complete and obtain/maintain a favorable background investigation at the ANACI level and complete a NAVMC 11386; personnel screening for handling arms, ammunition, and explosives, a medical background screening, and a DD Form 2760 certifying whether or not a qualifying conviction for a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence has occurred MUST be completed. The continuing obligation to notify the immediate supervisor of any qualifying conviction through completion of DD Form 2760 and other certifications is REQUIRED.
