Job summary
About the Position: This position serves as supervisor of team to support the logistics functions of the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) Battalion (BN) located at Fort Sam Houston, TX. Major duties
Serve as the primary hand receipt holder to ensure that property accountability is maintained. Analyze short range and long-range logistical needs to ensure requirements are met in a timely manner. Oversee the performance of the Battalion's (BN) logistical functions in areas such as vehicle management, facility management, and supply work. Coordinate with leadership to ensure logistics operations are in compliance with established policies and procedures. Manage contractual requirements for appropriate documentation. Ensure reports are submitted in a timely manner to the Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) and contracting agency.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Contracting/Procurement Customer Service Decision Making Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
