Job summary
You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the DIRECTOR MARITIME HEADQUARTERS of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Major duties
You will perform logistics management operations that involves planning, coordinating, or evaluating logistical actions required for fleet ordnance support (FOS). You will develop and recommend explosives safety policies and plans to higher levels of management. You will evaluate plans for the provision of logistical support for feasibility, efficiency, and economy, and develop alternatives when required. You will provide advice on resolving technical matters dealing with explosives/ordnance safety requirements. You will monitor progress toward meeting logistics plans and identify the cause and impact of delays or other problems.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: developing and implementing explosives safety standards, regulations, practices, and procedures to eliminate safety hazards or threats, and to ensure that the logistical support of resources or funding is available.
