Job summary

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Strategic Partner Management, Planning, and Systems Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. #LI-NAVSUPWSS

Major duties

You will serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for sustainment efforts in support of the AUKUS (Australia/United Kingdom/United States) program. You will coordinate with stakeholders to clearly define requirements, scope, and final delivery of products. You will participate in all phases of Integrated Support Planning (IPS) throughout the life cycle of the weapons systems under the AUKUS program. You will interpret, execute, and disseminate Navy and DOD policies, internal guidance, and all associated procedures and documentation related to AUKUS sustainment program management. You will provide sparing recommendations and models, participate in supply support meetings, provide input on material support issues, material/equipment requisitioning, and sustainment calculations and support. You will provide frequent status updates and issue briefs to senior leadership and high-level officials.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying expert knowledge of the policies, procedures, and techniques of logistics, supply chain planning, and project management. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Utilizing project and program management techniques and methods to establish short and long-term goals, objectives, and operational plans; 2) Formulating and executing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) budget requirements for assigned program; 3) Managing resources, monitoring project execution, and ensuring performance requirements are met; 4) Applying knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and Navy contract rules and regulations to execute sustainment programs; and 5) Communicating effectively and negotiating sensitive issues with counterparts, senior level personnel, and foreign representatives to ensure FMS program requirements are met.
