Job summary

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command - NAVSUP of NAVSUP FLC SIG GF .

Major duties

You will be responsible for overall planning, directing, and coordinating functions of the Logistics Support Center. You will render decisions relative to various aspects of the work such as procedural applications or questions requiring policy determinations You will provide technical assistance to fleet and shore activities. You will be performing systems analyses of programs and problems associated with the supply system and recommend guidance for new systems and system modifications. You will be coordinating and facilitating material stowage and delivery. You will develop and maintain a comprehensive history of customer requests and resolutions via computerized database and make periodic reports to supervisory personnel

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting the intent of Naval Messages both classified and unclassified, and to be knowledgeable of supply policies, computer systems, concepts of operations, services coordinated by port operations/local Commander 2)Indepedently analyze and resolve difficult issues and problems involving distance support, supply processes, work methods and daily operations procedures. 3)Developing guidance on techniques for management and methods improvement.
