Major duties

As a INTEGRATION AND INITIATIVES IMPLEMENTATION COORDINATOR at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the Asymmetric Threat Department Integration and Initiatives Implementation Coordinator, and is primary advisor to the Department Chief, leads the Department in the absence of the Department Chief and ensures organization's strategic plans, mission, vision, and values are communicated and integrated into the Agency's and Directorates strategies, goals, objectives. Serves as the principal departmental representative in budget and resource allocation activities and responds to requests from the Agency and external inquiries for information on expenditures and the budget. Oversees implementation and execution of the program current-year budget. Serves as a Defense Travel Authorizing Official for the Defense Travel System (DTS) for the Department. Authorizes individual and group travel for all Department travel requirements. Authorizes individual and group travel for all Department travel requirements. Establishes and maintains contacts with the Commercial Travel Office (CTO) and appropriate agencies for individual/group travel, lodging, and rental vehicles outside of, and within DTS. Manages the full spectrum of operations of the Department including: administration, organization, manpower, personnel, budget, logistics, maintenance support requirements, short term and long-range planning, training, liaison and policy coordination. Chief, Integration and Initiatives Department, provides administrative and policy directions concerning overall program/project priorities and objectives. Manages daily workload, tasks subordinate elements as appropriate, and is responsible for higher tasking and requirements. Performs integration of and provides technical/management oversight and guidance to the department divisions: Chemical Weapons Threats, Biological Weapons Threats, Interdiction, and Emerging Threats and Opportunities. Oversees the development of program requirements, develops, and updates the program's strategic plan and long-range financial/resource program projections. Manages changes and their effect within the organization, both in the present and for the long-term.

Qualification

You may qualify at the GS-14 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Experience leading/managing diverse teams of Government Civilians, Military, Contract personnel, and technical support experts. Experience overseeing technical issues, costs, schedule, and performance of assigned projects. Experience managing acquisition and contract activities for multiple project teams to include reviewing Program Manager and Contracting Officer Representative product completion, adequacy, regulatory compliance, and quality. Experience producing and processing procurement documentation for contracts and acquisitions to include (but not limited to) purchase requests, acquisition strategy plans, statements of work (SOWs), independent government cost estimates, justifications, source selection plans, etc. Experience executing budgetary and financial processes to include overseeing implementation and execution of current-year budget. Experience representing leadership at various inter-agency and international meetings pertaining to the development and implementation of future CWMD arms control endeavors as well as other non-proliferation, or counter-proliferation opportunities and dealing with new and Asymmetric and emerging threats and opportunities such as AI and machine-learning. Experience advising senior management officials within the Agency, DOD, Combatant Commands, and the US Government (USG), as well as high-level civilian and military foreign officials (e.g., ambassador, minister, and command level), on operational implementation activities, strategic policy planning issues, and efforts related to development and implementation of future CWMD arms control and other non-proliferation initiatives. Experience conducting original research and performing in-depth analyses on the technical aspects of CWMD Arms Control, counter-proliferation, and non-proliferation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and including Identifying and defining issues; conceptualizing alternative solutions; recommending courses of action or options available; and preparing a variety of reports, memorandums, staff studies, and talking papers for Agency leadership and appropriate representatives of external organizations including key policy-making officials. Experience using the Defense Travel System (DTS) as travel authorizing official. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
