Job summary

Major duties

You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist, CNRF’s Navy Region Readiness Commands (REDCOMs), Information Technology Department (N6), Everette, WA. You will review, approve, and track to completion all local service requests and all NMCI Area Customer Technical Representatives (ACTR) request for creating, moving or deactivating accounts. You will conduct complex project(s) and provide support to the CTR by representing regional interests and requirements in contract discussions and assists subordinate or administratively supported organizations. You will review and prepare recommendations concerning waivers of mandatory standards. You will oversee enterprise level/Flank Speed migration of user accounts to include basic account troubleshooting, license management and special account requests.

Qualification

For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
