Job summary

***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as a HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICIAN SUPERVISOR in the CAMP FOSTER ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SHOP MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SECTION of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER.

Major duties

You will oversee staff involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair/replacement of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems which are stepped down from 66,000 volts to 13,800 volts. You will review designs for renovations and new construction to ensure maintainable and energy efficient systems are being proposed for Marine Camps. You will assist with final acceptance inspections for contract electrical projects as necessary. You will plan weekly and monthly work schedules based on written work authorizations and verbal guidance from supervisor and Master Scheduler. You will schedule leave of subordinates, ensuring that proposed annual leave schedules provide for full use of employees' leave entitlement without disruption of unit operations.
