Major duties

You will receive and transfer fuel by coupling and uncoupling hoses, closes and opens valves, starts and stops pumps, and monitors gauges, meters and filter separators. You will operate and maintain a complete fuels distribution system(s) to receive, store, transfer, and issue both aviation and ground fuels. You will operate one or more type of special purpose design aviation and ground fuel-tank truck vehicles having a capacity of up to 10,000 gallons and gross vehicle weight in excess of 100,000 pounds. You will transport fuel from the bulk storage area to the flight line issue point and position the vehicle for the refueling/de-fueling task as required.

Qualification

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform the work of a WG-5413-08, Fuel Distribution Systems Worker, as demonstrated by experience, working under close supervision as directed by higher graded personnel performing the following: receiving, storing, transferring, dispensing fuels, operating work stations or portions of a larger fuel distribution system, operating gasoline and diesel powered refueling vehicles, complying with established regulations for handling fuel; complying with laws and regulations to handle Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), and I possess a Class A CDL with Air Brakes, HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
