Job summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Financial Management positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Major duties
Serves as senior analyst for the Resource Management Officer (RMO), USAG, Fort Walker, supporting the Garrison Leadership and Program Directors/Activity Chiefs. Serves as the subject matter expert for Accounting Management Systems to include the General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS). Responsible for overall funds execution management and accounting activities. Coordinates all phases of the Operating Budget Program. Maintains constant surveillance as to the status of funds and investigates areas showing adverse trends and recommends corrective actions. Leads the Budget and Accounting Branch staff and assists Resource Management Officer (RMO) in defining responsibilities and organizing and establishing assignments.
Qualification
Who May Apply: In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing financial analysis, budget updates, financial system administration and ability to communicate both orally and in writing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
