Job summary

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Systems Operations Branch, Financial Management Directorate, of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic.

Major duties

You will analyze database queries and spreadsheets to ensure queries and spreadsheets are in line with financial objectives. You will conduct financial planning and budgeting analysis for organizational programs. You will compile information from multiple sources to create financial management or budget reports. You will advise financial management staff on the application of funding policy and regulatory requirements. You will analyze recurring problems with funds management to recommend solutions. You will advise senior leaders on financial strategies.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1)Formulating the submission of the department's budget requirements and/or uses relational databases and standard query languages to obtain data using Power Query, Oracle , SQL, Web Intelligence, and/or access VBA; 2) Maintaining budget formulation, budget execution, accounting and audit readiness and/or possess a solid background with report writing software solutions and satisfies user requirements for information which can be used in decision making; 3) Analyzing data for various financial reports (e.g., budget formulation, budget execution, accounting, audit readiness) and/or has a steady attention to detail and the ability to identify and suggest corrections to data integrity issues within databases; 4) Analyzing data for various financial reports (e.g., budget formulation, budget execution, accounting, audit readiness) and/or possesses the experience to gather user requests to determine system requirements; and 5) Preparing and reviewing financial documentation, transactions, and budgetary requests to ensure documentation is consistent with program objectives and DoD regulations.
