Job summary
You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL DIVISION, TRAVEL (Code 820) of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
Major duties
You will provide Travel, DTS and Government Travel Credit Card (GTCC) oversight and direction to Trident Refit Facility Bangor by researching and responding to complex questions from, and issues encountered by customers regarding accounting data. You will assume responsibility for all administrative and financial tasks related to the travel card to include development and upkeep of standard operational procedures, card utilization, billing, mandatory reporting, and termination. You will possess an understanding of Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), Financial Management Regulation (FMR), DoD Instruction (DODI) Navy Policy for Operation and Management of the Government Travel Charge Card and Navy Defense Travel System. You will operate as the DTS approving official for TRFB requiring you to make decisions based on travel reimbursement in accordance the JTR and GTCC regulations. You will conduct as well as prepare for assessments or audits by coordinating with auditors, IG’s, FIAR team members, Program Management Office (PMO) and Financial Management Office (FMO). You will develop and conduct training as needed to TRFB personnel as well as Leadership.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing automated financial management systems to locate, compile, analyze and summarize accounting, budgetary or travel related financial data to assist with management of an organizations travel program. Experience performing Defense Travel System (DTS) and Agency Program Coordinator (APC/Alternate) responsibilities for the Government Travel Credit Card (GTCC). Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR Possession of an LL.M., if related OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
