Job summary

You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the Manufacturing Operations Branch (BL41810), Prototype, Manufacturing & SE & ALRE Test Dept of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Major duties

You will conduct functional tests of Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) systems or equipment to meet certification requirements. You will research appropriate documents to obtain additional facts related to Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) system or Visual Landing Aids (VLA) equipment problems. You will develop written specialized aircraft equipment information for dissemination to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of equipment. You will analyze and resolve problems on mobile radio systems by maintaining knowledge and recommending corrective actions. You will track aircraft depot in-process and completion data for cost and contract compliance.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing manufacturing requirements (including organization, facilities, equipment, materials, manufacturing processes and cost estimating principles) and procedures, as they pertain to prototyping, production, repair, overhaul and test of SE and ALRE systems and components. 2) Resolving complex problems within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning System while tactfully working with personnel representing various levels of the organization and technical backgrounds. 3) Collaborating with related disciplines, such as contracting and acquisition, logistics, supply management, materials receipt and storage, and transportation, including traffic operations and materials movement. 4) Effectively programming and utilizing Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine operations, practices, and safety measures.
