Job summary
You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the Sustainment Group, Weapons Maintenance Sustainment Branch of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE, located in Fallbrook, CA.
Major duties
You will ensure safety, security, and quality aspects are integrated into the planning process with continual monitoring of safety. You will assist with daily work processes daily to ensure compliance with planned production schedules. You will assist the Maintenance Lead in the investigation and analysis and helps resolve problems pertaining to the scheduling of maintenance, logistics support, operation or repair of the systems assigned. You will review, analyze, and evaluate deficiency and failure reports to recommend equipment modifications and consider significance of failures in regards to total safety, cost of repair, loss, or down time of equipment.
Qualification
(GS-11):Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Performing work related to missile production operations (facility, personnel and equipment requirements) and air-launched missile logistics to include movement, storage, enhanced maintenance procedures and operational requirements; 2) Utilizing specialized knowledge of test equipment, mechanical tooling, material handling equipment, and special tooling requirements pertaining to air-launched weapon system maintenance repair and overhaul; 3) Demonstrated knowledge of air launched bombs, bomb components/Airborne Expendable Countermeasures Model and Maintenance of Airborne Weapons Systems, Air Launched Missile Systems, relevant manuals and maintenance procedures; 4) Knowledge of development, testing, and performance of new maintenance capabilities for assigned systems; 5) Interpreting and performing new and complex maintenance practices using developmental procedures and providing recommendations to product owners to improve productivity and safety. (GS-09): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education
