Job summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will NOT be accepted through this flyer. Major duties

Tracking records of daily usage, fuel consumption and maintenance. Troubleshooting hydrographic survey equipment. Reviewing contracts to ensure compliance with environmental and safety laws and regulations. Processing data, video and imagery collected during missions. Responding to a wide range of inquiries from concerned citizens. Communicating with internal and external contacts to gain insight on survey projects. Monitoring data and channel conditions for safety.

Qualification

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: GS 07: One year of specialized experience which includes meeting two of the following: (1) Performing quality assurance field inspections, (2) Ensuring field activities are compliant with the environmental and safety regulations and standard procedures, (3) Preparing detailed reports of field studies and/or findings and (4) Using survey techniques and guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). GS 08: One year of specialized experience which includes meeting three of the following: (1) Performing quality assurance field inspections, (2) Ensuring field activities are compliant with the environmental and safety regulations and standard procedures, (3) Preparing detailed reports of field studies and/or findings and (4) Using survey techniques and guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). GS 09: One year of specialized experience which includes meeting all of the following: (1) Performing quality assurance field inspections, (2) Ensuring field activities are compliant with the environmental and safety regulations and standard procedures, (3) preparing detailed reports of field studies and/or findings and (4) Using survey techniques and guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
