Job summary
You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Public Works Dept Corpus Christi of NAVFAC ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Major duties
You will manage sustainment activities to keep facilities in good working order by establishing scheduled maintenance and repairs, developing plans for major repairs or replacement of components. You will identify, classify, prioritize, and estimate maintenance and repair work. You will monitor work throughout the project life and ensure that records are maintained in the Single Platform Maximo software system. You will prepare briefings covering methods used in the development, collection and preparation of statistical data along with providing advisory services to managers and supervisors concerning findings. You will evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program and recommend program revisions. You will conduct inspections of real property assets and develop written detailed analysis of facilities’ conditions. You will document facility deficiencies and initiate corrective repair action.
Qualification
For Non-Federal applicants: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Clearly and effectively articulating, presenting, and promoting varied ideas and issues before a wide range of audiences; 2) Documenting facility deficiencies and initiating corrective repair action; 3) Preparing briefings covering methods used in the development, collection and preparation of statistical data; 4) Reviewing design drawings and evaluating analytical engineering reports to determine corrective actions and provide guidance; 5) Conducting inspections of real property assets and developing written detailed analysis of facilities' conditions. For current Federal applicants: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
