About the Position: This position is with the 81st Readiness Division, Emergency Prep Liaison Office with duty at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

Major duties

Serve as primary advisor for matters involving personnel training, and the planning and preparedness to support domestic emergencies and natural disasters. Coordinate with Federal, State and local executives along with foreign partners and non-governmental agencies in response to requests for military assistance. Represent the command at various related forums. Coordinate with other agencies and services to establish policies and procedures. Serve as technical advisor across multi-domain environments including cyber and space for matters related to Homeland Defense Programs. Evaluate emergency response operations to ensure effectiveness of programs and plans. Develop informational briefs and related materials. Develop policies and procedures to support and standardize the Defense Support to Civil Authorities function.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Emergency Response Program Management Reading Comprehension Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
