Job summary

You will serve as a ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC LEADER (EXPERT) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY. The incumbent of this position will serve as an Expert Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic leading a group to ensure work assignments are completed. These positions are located in Shop 06. Applicants will only be considered for positions within their own UIC. For example: If you are within UIC 4523A, you will only be considered for positions within 4523A.

Major duties

You will be responsible for a wide scope of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting including extending the use of conventional electronic instruments and tools. You will serve serve as the subject matter expert in the trade to improve trade processes, inspect work, identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions. You will inspect completed and in-process work for quality of workmanship and adherence to requirements, specifications, standards, plans, and schedules. You will ensure that plans, blueprints, materials, and tools, are available for specific jobs. You will perform reviews of documents associated with completed work and trade processes to ensure they are filled out adequately and accurately. You will give appropriate skills training utilizing shop training tools or spaces such as mock-ups, in-shop work areas or facilities.
