Job summary

You will serve as a Distribution Facilities Specialist in the Naval Petroleum Office of CNSSC OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FIELD.

Major duties

You will serve as a senior Distribution Facilities Specialist providing subject matter expertise across naval organizations for Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricant (POL) facilities management programs. You will collaborate with agency officials to support and execute facility design. You will leverage extensive experience with and mastery knowledge of POL facility management to identify future facility needs; review and validate reported facility deficiencies; analyze and make decisions concerning distribution facilities. You will thoroughly understand all applicable Federal, State, Local, and Host-Nation policy and guidance. as a naval POL facility management subject matter expert. You will use your mastery in fuels supply chain management and policy requirements to be the technical authority for the proper implementation, execution, and direction of the entire fuel supply chain for the area of responsibility.

Qualification

GS13: Your resume must have one year of specialized Distribution Facilities Specialist experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service providing subject matter expertise across organizations for Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricant (POL) facilities management programs to deliver bulk and retail POL products and services to customers worldwide. Specific work experience must demonstrate the following duties: 1) Demonstrate applying a mastery level knowledge the principles and practices of Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL) facility operation, maintenance, and overall organization and facility design; 2) Provide general technical knowledge related to work conducted at POL facilities and systems sufficient to provide evaluation and guidance related to facility operations; and 3) Exercise knowledge of POL facility design, construction, maintenance, and repair to make decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing mission-critical programs. GS12: Your resume must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing all of the following duties: 1) Demonstrate applying the principles and practices of Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL) facility operation, maintenance, and overall organization and facility design; 2) Providing technical knowledge related to work conducted at POL facilities and systems sufficient to provide evaluation and guidance related to facility operations; and/or 3) Exercising knowledge of POL facility operations and maintenance to make decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing mission-critical programs.
