Job summary
You will serve as a DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS PROJECT OFFICE of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Major duties
You will perform functions involving the movement of material for the Building Partner Capacity (BPC) Programs and associated reviews and development of distribution facilities plans to utilize the most efficient and cost-effective modes. You will serve as the primary point of contact for facilities consisting of two buildings totaling 170,000 square feet. You will serve as liaison to PWD on facilities, equipment maintenance, and utilization; maintains workload statistics and monitors work performance. You will develop and manage safety programs to include conduct of periodic safety inspections, identification and correction of potential/actual safety hazards, preparation/review of accident reports, and review of accident data for trend analysis.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector with knowl4edge of supply procedures and distribution facilities policies. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Collaborating with agency officials to support and execute facility design; construction; sustainment, restoration, and modernization; and recurring maintenance/minor repair projects; 2) Reviewing and evaluating the adequacy of facility security systems; 3) Utilizing supply procedures and practices unique to Joint Consolidation Point; 4) Developing and/or revising safety regulations and policies to meet local needs and requirements, and to comply with regulations and procedures; 5) Advising others on HAZMAT abatement, control, disposal and certification policies and procedures.
