AREA OF CONSIDERATION: HRO MUST process and clear the Department of Defense (DoD), Priority Placement Program (PPP), prior to advertising all internal and external job vacancies and promotion announcements. DUTIES: As a DATA ANALYTICS SPECIALIST (NGT5882000), GS-0301-11, you will be responsible for administering and coordinating a complex data analytics program across the Army and Air National Guard within the state with external recipients, ARNG units, ANG wings and Joint Forces Headquarters staff offices. This position serves as a Data Analytics Specialist for the USPFO. The incumbent serves as an analyst to develop capabilities that collect, measure, analyze, and report on areas including but not limited to fiscal stewardship and property accountability. The position delivers data analytics to include, but not limited to attrition, staffing, cost, cost avoidance, revenue, equipment and weapon system downtime, efficiencies, and metrics. Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary; however, some slight physical effort may be required. Working Environment: Assignments are performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office and/or in storage or industrial areas. Subject position may be exposed to moderate risks while conducting studies in industrial and storage areas, and protective eyeglasses, earplugs, and/or protective footwear maybe required when conducting studies in those areas. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess at least ONE (1) year at the next lower-level grade GS-09 or the equivalent THIRTY-SIX (36) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such as administering and coordinating diverse data analytics portfolio for both Army and Air National Guard projects; settings appropriate work priorities and applying knowledge of organizational needs and deadlines, and consistently follow-up; identifying and analyzing information from various sources and developing meaningful program data, information, and reports in a variety of formats; assisting with research, design, and manage the content, design, layout, and features Analytical dashboards and various business intelligent tools; utilizing expertise in interpreting, developing, and applying appropriate data to make informed decisions about the enterprise; conducting studies, identifying trends, risks, and themes based on the data and information; performing qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity; inspecting and reconciling data to ensure validity of information; developing and maintaining a myriad of reports; confirming and validating data prior to use for reports through systems of record; keeping supervisors and staff informed of administrative issues and developments; responding to questions and resolves problems for staff; providing leadership and significantly contributes to ad-hoc or regular workgroups.

Education

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Completion of a full 4 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements (30 semester's hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week) for THREE (3) months of specialized experience. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to SIX (6) months of specialized experience. Courses must be directly related to the work of the position. NOTE: Completion of courses such as the Officer Advanced Course, Squadron Officer School, Command and Staff College, Air and Army War College, National Security Management Course and others of comparable level will be credited at the rate of ONE (1) month of education for TWO (2) months of specialized experience. NOTE: Copy of official/student transcripts must be included in order to receive credit for education. Unofficial transcripts from internet or with alterations will not be considered. To receive credit for education the information must be included in the education section of the Resume.
