Job summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties
You will be responsible for enforcement of all technical and administrative provisions of assigned construction contracts. You will be required to be in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, DoD, Navy, NAVFAC and other agency laws, guidance, policy and procedures. You will represent the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC)(OICC) as the technical representative in matters involving contract modification and claims. You will have open communication between, and due diligence of, the Contracting Officer, the COR, COR management, the requiring activity, and the contractor in contract surveillance. You will provide assistance and technical guidance to other construction managers and to construction engineers/architects, or other NAVFAC business/support lines.
Qualification
GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing administrative work to provide material, services, equipment, and contract support for construction projects; negotiating and administering construction contracts to ensure specifications and quality assurance are in compliance; overseeing maintenance and construction projects (e.g., estimating, planning, execution) to provide quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of facilities maintenance projects and services Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301 (opm.gov) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education
Conditions of Employment Cont.: This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
