Major duties

As a COMBATANT COMMAND REPRESENTATIVE (CCR) at the GS-0301-13/14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Support the USEUCOM J5W in understanding CBRN-D capabilities provided by DTRA, address information requirements, support Arms Control efforts, and ensure seamless communications to DTRA Directorates as required (primarily CT, OB, OI, NE, and SI). Maintain situational awareness of USEUCOM activities and operations, attend USEUCOM and DTRA battle rhythm events and OPTs, and ensure DTRA Directorates are tracking relevant CCMD activities. Assist in supporting USEUCOM and SOCEUR exercise development and ensure DTRA equities are identified and transmitted to DTRA HQ. Ensure other DTRA USEUCOM CCR Team members are informed of events relevant to counter-WMD and other DTRA equities. Will be responsible to assist in providing SITREPs, updates, and other products as required. The employee would maintain communication and liaison with the DTRA RCEOs, DTROs, NATO CCRs, UK CCR, service components supporting USEUCOM, JAC-M, and DTRA-E. The employee would assist in coordinating key leader engagements and correspondence, perform other duties as assigned, and represent DTRA in general at USEUCOM.

Qualification

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Supporting a Major Command or Combatant Command's policy, programs, plans, projects and command structure in an effort to counter a variety of improvised threats; such as, countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD); Providing support to planning, organizing and conducting analytical studies, developing plans and policies for use in actions supporting a Major Command or Combatant Command; and Providing input to counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), emerging threats, and threat network analysis You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Applying strategic and operational level analysis, planning methods, and procedures in order to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of efforts to deter and counter the threat of Weapons of Mass Destruction and Improvised Threat Networks. Advising on CWMD matters, policy, and operations as a Subject Matter Expert; Supporting a Major Command or Combatant Command's policy, programs, plans, projects and command structure in an effort to counter a variety of improvised threats; such as, countering weapons of mass destruction (WMD); Planning, organizing and conducting analytical studies, developing plans and policies for use in actions supporting a Major Command or Combatant Command; and Providing advice in Counter-WMD, emerging threats, and threat network analysis. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. INFORMATION FOR OVERSEAS: Overseas tour of duty for Stuttgart, Germany is projected to be 36 months. You may be required sign a Transportation Agreement. - Incumbent may be subject to the 5-year foreign area limitation according to the DoDI 1400.25-V1230, dated 26 July2012. - Applicants who are currently stationed overseas, must have enough time to meet the initial tour stated above. Applicants who have returned from an overseas tour, and have not been physically present in the United States (CONUS) or Non foreign area for 2 continuous years, may require a waiver. NOTE: If you have not completed 5 years overseas and return to a CONUS assignment, that time spent overseas counts towards the 5 year limitation, unless you have been in the States for at least 2 continuous years. - Medical Care: Applicants who have family members with special medical needs should ensure that prior to accepting a position overseas their family members' medical needs can be met. Access to care in a military treatment facility may not be available to civilian employees except on a space available basis. Consequently, host nation medical facilities may be the only care available. The availability and level of care at host nation medical facilities will vary by location. - Applicants hired from the Continental United States (CONUS) and their family members (who are US citizens) are required to obtain Official Passports prior to departure to the overseas area. - May be subjected to a variety of environmental conditions typical of the overseas areas in which traveling, to include the potential for exposure to acts of terrorism. - Payment for travel and transportation expenses may be authorized. This includes government paid travel transportation, shipment and temporary storage of household goods, and possibly other entitlements based upon the JTR and agency policy. Education
