Job summary

This position as a Club Operations Assistant at the Fair Winds Bar, New Sanno Hotel, a world-class, four-star hotel in downtown Tokyo. Incumbent performs a wide variety of work assignments supporting high-quality food & beverage operations at the New Sanno. **This announcement is open year-round. Major duties

Report for duty with responsibilities as prescribed by the Bar or F&B Manager. Incumbent shall be familiar and comply with the contents of the Navy Food and Beverage Desk Guide and CNIC Instruction 1710.3, as well as all Hotel SOP's and instructions. Maintain proper decorum throughout events in accordance with prescribed rules and regulations. Shall be responsible for familiarizing him/herself with bar programming during duty shift, e.g., including any and all particulars that he/she should be cognizant of during the work shift. Check all schedules when entering duty. Ensure that activities take place as planned with proper equipment, personnel, food and beverages. In case of deviation from usual operating policy or procedures, bring the situation to the attention of the proper supervisor. Attempt to resolve the problem and, in case of a serious problem, contact the Bar or F&B Manager. Circulate among patrons as necessary to assure satisfactory services. Ensure we execute the services at the highest quality. Provide support and direction to ensure high quality of products and service is well executed. Explain and enforce hotel policies, procedures and regulations. Maintain order in the facility. Insures that local rules and regulations governing the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages are strictly enforced. Incumbent may serve as a lead in assuring that work assignments by the shift employees are performed; provide necessary assistance and supplies to employees; and resolve minor problems and complaints of the employees, Make recommendations to the Manager regarding the work performance of shift employees. Prior to the end of each event, complete fire safety checks and that unnecessary electrical equipment are unplugged. Secure all doors, check all locks on the storerooms, etc. Assists with the stocking of supplies in the Bar. Ensure all equipment are properly stored and handled with care. Insure that all keys are properly secured. Incumbent must present a neat, well groomed, professional appearance at all times and must work harmoniously with co-workers and members of the Food & Beverage Department. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification

A qualified candidate possesses the following: A minimum of one year experience which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, business operations, or equivalent leadership experience is required. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and sales operation. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Education

Foreign education must include evidence that it is comparable to education received at accredited educational institutions in the United States. Evaluations
