Job summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. Major duties
You will be the Primary/Lead Government-wide Purchase Cardholder for the Command for all micro-purchase threshold material and service order buys. You will check for mandatory sources of supply prior to initiating purchases, rotating vendors as available, and ensuring funds are available prior to a purchase is made. You will keep logs and transaction files up to date with all required records and documentation, obtaining receipt and invoices from outside Vendors or applicable Parties. You will establish Purchase Orders in Navy-Enterprise Resource Planning, assisting departments with market research, and updating key players on delivery and other lead times. You will serve as the customer liaison between the Command, Vendors, and other Government agencies to resolve discrepancies and/or disputes on invoice payments, while fully protecting the Government’s interest. You will evaluate responses and make recommendations on the probability of meeting requirements and alternate avenues for procurement. You will gather cost and price information to assist in the determination of price reasonableness. You will develop information for use in pricing trends and analysis.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying standard technical procedures to evaluate purchasing/procurement activities, reconciling bank purchases and resolving discrepancies for a Purchase Card program. Education
Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR Successfully obtained an LL.B. or J.D OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
