About the Position Performs a wide variety of analytical and administrative functions in the formulation, presentation, and execution of the administrative and management portion of the appropriated fund budget. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Major duties

Develops and formulates a segment of the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) budget. Prepares and edits narrative justification for projected funding needs. Develops and executes plans and procedures to meet requirements of the financial management systems Analyzes and reconciles unliquidated obligations and negative unliquidated obligations. Identifies potential unfunded requirements and prepares justifications for them. Ensures that fund ceilings are not exceeded and that funding floors are met. Reviews and analyses monthly reports to uncover and resolve discrepancies.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes using automated systems to monitor budgeting operations; preparing organizational annual or multi-year budgets; reconciling annual budgets at the close of the year. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Finance or Accounting. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
