About the Position: This position is located with The Directorate of Plans, Training, Aviation, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) Range Division, Range Support Branch on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

Major duties

Inform and coordinates activities of the Aviation Division and DPTMS activities with the Yakima Training Center (YTC) Garrison Commander and staff. Perform duties related to Airfield management, Aviation Operating Environment oversight, strategic deployment airfield and Power Projection readiness, aviation training, tenant support and transient aircraft and VIP services. Direct Aviation Division operations of various functional areas either directly or through subordinate supervisors such as: Gray AAF operations, Air Traffic Control, Vagabond AAF operations, and maintenance of airfield communication. Develop long-range plans for future modernization of the Aviation Division and its support facilities. Manage the Aviation Division workforce, assignments, and operations to ensure the mission is accomplished in the most efficient, safe and standardized manner Develop, forecast, submit, and execute annual spend plan based on Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submission.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Education

Evaluations
