Job summary
You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (Participating Acquisition Resource Manager)in the CBR Defense Division (R2), CBRD Detection & Integration Branch (R22) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354). The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
Major duties
You will serve as a lead Participating Acquisition Resource Manager (PARM) providing expert advice and support for the acquisition of Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Defense (CBRD) Detection Systems for New Ship Construction (SCN). You will represent the organization both internally and externally, and interface with the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), Project Managers, sponsors, and the Acquisition Engineering Agent (AEA). You will develop and implement acquisition plans, to include, advising, administering, and applying various business strategies. You will execute technical rigor programs for timely and quality production of CBRD detection equipment. You will lead/participate in source selection requirements for CBRD detection systems. You will analyze and implement best practices in resolving complex technical and acquisition issues.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical and administrative guidance on procurement or contractual strategies required for efficient and effective acquisition of chemical and biological defense systems.
