Job summary
You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT of UNDERSEA WARFARE DEV CEN DET ASL.
Major duties
You will initiate, submit and track Requests for personnel Actions (SF-52). You will provide support in hiring of employees. You will assist with the allocation of personnel and manpower resources. You will make proposals regarding civilian personnel staffing. You will assist the in-processing and out-processing of civilians as a result of new hires, duty station changes, reassignments and resignations. You will coordinate personnel actions, organizational structures, and position management. You will serve as a Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) holder. You will serve as either a Defense Travel System (DTS) Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA). You will serve as Travel Credit Card Agency/Organization Program Coordinator (A/OPC). You will serve as Standard Labor Data Collection and Distribution Application (SLDCDA) timekeeper.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of civilian personnel issues and personnel actions including: recruitment, hiring, benefits, timekeeping, promotions, awards, reassignments, details, and performance management. Experience using software applications suitable for data collection and presentations such as, but not limited to: Defense Civilian Personnel Data System; HR Link; MyBiz, Total Workforce Management System, Transaction Online Processing System; Defense Travel System; BUPERS On-Line; Navy System Integrated Processes System; Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System, and various word processing systems/ software. Experience providing analytical services, staff advice, and assistance to managers concerning the application of civilian management and manpower assets. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR Possession of a LL.M., if related OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
