Job summary
Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Major duties
The incumbent provides direct administrative assistance and support to management within the Services & Vending segment of the Retail and Services Division. Performs a variety of responsible administrative duties requiring a substantial level of judgment, experience and discretion. Types correspondence, reports and other materials in final smooth format. Reviews all incoming correspondence, determining proper action. Reviews outgoing correspondence and reports ensuring proper format and concurrence with established directives. Performs daily responsibilities independently. Assists with monitoring contracts and with new vendor creation. Submits invoices for payment through electronic systems and assists with end-of-month submissions and other paperwork. Screens incoming telephone calls, determining those, which can be answered, and those, which must be referred. Maintains calendar and schedules appointments and meetings according to workload and current issues of importance for management level positions and notifies those who are to attend of the topics to be discussed. Prepares detailed agenda and summary reports or minutes for meetings. Establishes and maintains subject matter files and records. Types and sends correspondence to stakeholders on behalf of Services management. Types complex correspondence such as statistical reports, budget spreadsheets, financial statements, directives from handwritten drafts or oral instructions in accordance with available guidelines and instructions by utilizing a personal computer. Responsible for correct spelling, punctuation, and proofreading of typed materials. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.

Qualification
Minimum one year of experience that demonstrates working knowledge of a personal computer and peripheral equipment using Microsoft software or a similar integrated software program. Working knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, and graphics utilization and implementation. Experience in the performance of a variety of clerical duties, such as typing, filing, record keeping, etc. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
