Air Force Civilian

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is a group of 170,000 civilians who work in a variety of roles to support the U.S. Air Force. AFCS civilians share the same oath and many of the same responsibilities as uniformed Airmen, but they don’t wear a uniform or deploy. They work in over 600 different occupations, including engineers, social workers, physicians, cybersecurity experts, police officers, aircraft mechanics, and rocket scientists.
