Description:What We’re Doing
Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team, as a whole, is very large but is broken down into many smaller agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also, responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies.
The Work
• Perform complex problem resolution, design, development, test and investigate innovative solutions
• Follow specifications in order to develop or modify functionality within the code
• Assist with design, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation
• Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards and improve overall efficiency of the system

-This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
-This position will involve around 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S

Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science or in a STEM related field.
- An active secret clearance is required prior to starting. Must have the ability to be cleared at TS/SCI level.
- Java programming experience
- Knowledge of software practices and coding standards
- Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, recommend and develop a solution
Desired Skills:
- Theoretical experience such as Object-Oriented paradigms and/ or Software Design Patterns
- Knowledge of object-oriented software development and automated testing
- Ability to analyze high-level needs and define a structured and logical approach to requirements development
- Skill in refining capabilities into an integrated set of requirements that lead to a fielded product
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical approaches and findings
- Experience in writing and implementing project reports, plans, and status updates
- Experience writing unit-testable operational code/ unit tests exercising said code
- Experience in a Linux-based environment (preferably Red Hat / CentOS / Oracle Linux)
- Experience with GIT in Linux
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience with software modeling using UML
- Experience writing and presenting technical documentation to diverse audiences

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
