Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer with prior design and test experience to join our dynamic and diverse team environment in Des Moines, IA. The selected candidate will be responsible for technical analysis, translating requirements into a proposed design, and assisting in the development and implementation of assigned features.
Actual Job Location: 132 WG Air National Guard Base in Des Moines, Iowa
Responsibilities Include:
- Testing to ensure program meets mission package standards
- Standards compliance
- Program incremental standards certification
- Developing and executing test plans related to software interoperability with connected training devices
- Collaborating with support centers and issuing/responding to problem reports as required
- Representing the program at standard working groups identified by the government
- Representing the program's simulation requirements at industry conferences as required
- Consulting on enterprise standards and simulator procurement as required
- Knowledge of CDS technologies
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of experience OR 3 years with Masters OR 0 years with PhD
- Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
- Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
- Experience bridging Live, Virtual, and Constructive training systems together, maintaining standards
- General knowledge of SISO and AF Standards related to Distributive Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocol
- General knowledge of SCARS Increment Standards and Certification Process
- Skills in communication, public speaking, and providing constructive feedback
- Must maintain Security+ certification
