Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time.  Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers.  Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation.  Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines:  Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

What You Will Do:

As a Principal Reliability Engineer, you’ll support Raytheon’s programs by pursuing synergies between the technical disciplines. Our responsibilities include creating the optimal design in terms of Performance, Reliability, Availability and Maintainability per dollar invested.  We support new design proposals for our customers as well as provide support for manufacturing and existing and/or fielded programs. 

Your overall responsibilities will Include:

  • Conducting Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses

  • Performing Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA)

  • Interpreting data and analyzing results

  • Supporting Failure Review Boards (FRB)

  • Supporting the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimate (BOE) for reliability work

  • Other grade-consistent duties as assigned

  • Reliability Engineering work

  • Raytheon Program-Related work

  • Writing Proposals

  • Submitting bids

  • Domestic & International travel may be required – limited durations (approximately 25% domestic and 10% international)

  • The position will be located in Tucson, Arizona, and is ONSITE.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 (eight) years of relevant Engineering experience 

  • Experience with Reliability Engineering (including reliability analysis, failure investigations, and/or root cause/corrective action (RCCA))

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience with statistics or using statistical packages for data analysis (e.g. Excel)

  • Experience working in deadline driven environments with constantly changing priorities

  • Experience prioritizing tasks, responding efficiently and effectively to time-critical issues

  • Experience following defined processes, in compliance with regulations

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
