Job Summary

Raytheon is seeking an exceptional Material Program Manager (MPM) in support of the Naval Advanced Air Missile Product Line for a development program that will be designing and manufacturing the Next Generation missile.  The program office and manufacturing will be located in the Tucson Arizona.

In this role, the candidate will demonstrate earned value management skills and be directly accountable for ensuring program execution of materials management in support of the Next Generation Tomahawk missiles program.  This program is considered to be the launch point for our next production line, and this role is critical to that success.

Key responsibilities include the following: developing and implementing material strategies, monitoring and driving supplier deliveries, contributing to material forecasts, EACs, and proposals as needed. To be successful, the candidate must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management.

What You Will Do:

  • Proactively monitor and address performance metrics (cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS) to ensure alignment with program goals.

  • Manage critical supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective material availability and collaborating with Program IPTs and PMO.

  • Develop and maintain a proactive material procurement strategy, ensuring smooth material flow for development, production, and sustainment.

  • Forecast materials and sales deliveries accurately for various program phases (Development, Production, and Sustainment).

  • Support proposal efforts by working with the Proposal Team to provide compliant material pricing and develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for MPM labor.

  • Create, manage, and execute the Material Program Strategy (MPS) and Material Program Plan (MPP) to ensure program competitiveness and performance.

  • Provide comprehensive supply chain support for Gates 0-11 activities, ensuring compliance with IPDP and financial management targets (EV, budgets, working capital, etc.). Work with other programs to maximize efficiency, identifying opportunities for commonality between programs.

  • Oversee supplier performance, ensure compliance with SCM metrics, and manage international issues, including compliance with regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR) and quality control.

  • Willingness to Travel Domestically/Internationally, as required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • EVMS certification

  • Working knowledge of SAP

  • Raytheon or similar Six Sigma Specialist

  • General understanding in managing technical requirements to a schedule and budget

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
