About this Position
The EDCP Systems Integration CIP J85/TF34 Focal and Process/Cost Improvement demonstrates accountability for Evendale Defense Combat Propulsion systems related Component Improvement Programs, and associated processes that meet business needs across the organization, manages J85/TF34 CIP related programmatic issues to have on time milestone deliverable for J85/TF34 CIP performance of the projects, including strategic implementation and execution. You will also be responsible for tracking cost for all CIP engines F101, F118, F110, J85, TF34, and ECP’s, hence enabling a successful CIP Quarterly Performance Review with our USAF customers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Meets all necessary USAF/USN customers Component Improvement Program (CIP) related J85/TF34 contractual requirements and ensures achievement of highest standards towards supporting the war fighter jets, in a sustainable manner, such as EPD key deliverables, Placeholders, focused effort on correct spend and forecasting.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of an applicable quality metric system to monitor/evaluate spending on EDCP programs monthly.
  • Assists team in data retrieval of all CIP EPDs cost and spending F101, F118, F110, J85, TF34 work with the EPD Owners to thoroughly evaluate the current state of their programs spending and cost.
  • Supports the team in the development of Scorecards, Placeholders, Proposals to help monitor TF34/J85 programs. Proactively Collaborate with the EPD Owners to thoroughly evaluate the current state of their programs to establish an accurate baseline and continuously forecast robust execution with on time deliverables and cost performance mindset.
  • Works with the cross functional team in addressing the P-Slides (J85/TF34). Support the execution of the overall CIP EPDs related tasks.
  • Leads and Owns CIP Engineering projects description- proposals, SOO (Statements of objectives).
  • Integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization, manages complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise. You will be responsible for a variety of customer- and company-funded business-critical tasks, from on-time and on-cost delivery.
  • Proactively anticipates issues and identifies gaps with sound mitigations with support of the engineering teams.
  • Supports Lean/Genba processes.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college (OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in working with external military customers and internal GE Aerospace EDCP disciplinary teams)
