Make an impact by advancing the Department of Defense's mission to keep our country safe and secure.MissionUSSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety. Job Description: IT Architect:- Builds and maintains IT infrastructure models utilizing MBSE methods according to UAF standards.
- Designs and develops platform to host a global web publishing operation in support of a New Media Initiative or web-based MISO program.
- Ensures the platform is scalable and reliable to ensure maximum uptime as well as secure to protect from intrusion and denial of service attacks.
- Implements the platform under the control of an automated configuration management framework.
- Provides in-depth knowledge of information security.
- Holds responsibility for the architecture of the data framework that is required by the operations to collect and make available program performance metrics.
- Must be capable of performing analysis of system operations
- Must be capable of system decomposition via OMG frameworks (UML, DoDAF 2.0/UPDM, SysML, UAF)
- Must be able to model systems via different perspectives (e.g. capability, operational, system, functional) and at various levels of abstraction
- Must be familiar with UML modeling tools (Cameo Enterprise Architect preferred)
- Must be able to meet with stakeholders in a variety of system domains and analyze requirement, process, system, and/or capability
- Must be capable of extending UML-based models to other tools or modeling environments via existing frameworks/API's
- Must be familiar with executable models (fUML specification preferred)
- Must have the ability to generate/produce data and reports
- Interact and professionally exhibit customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers and peers
- Experience publishing models to web-based or document-based formats
- Experience developing applications using object-oriented programming languages (Java preferred)
- Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high quality environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer service
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail
- Experience modeling complex systems for Department of Defense or other government organizations
- Education & Experience: BA/BS or equivalent, 20+ years of experience
- Required Certifications: Security + or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or SSCP
- Required: Ability to Obtain ITIL 4 Foundation - ITSM Certification within the first 9 months
- Desired Certifications: TOGAF Certified Architect or Certified Web Development Professional (CWDP) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or Google Professional Cloud Architect or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or VMWare Certified Professional - Cloud Management and Automation
