Job Description/Responsibilities:
As an electrical engineer within the Electrical Engineering group in Northrop Grumman’s Fuzing and Warheads unit, your responsibilities will be an individual technical contributor on various product development or production programs as well as internal research and development projects. The primary focus of the position is research, design, and development in such areas as power conditioning electronics, analog circuit design, digital circuit design, FPGA design, and other general electrical engineering design functions. You will work with other engineers, technicians, program managers and administrative personnel to accomplish your objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with a team of Electrical Engineers through product development
- Considers technical tradeoffs, design requirements and program objectives
- Ability to calculate and simulate design concepts prior to and during schematic entry
- Leading schematic development with experience in analog and digital circuit design
- Oversees board layout and provides knowledgeable feedback to the PWB designer
- Leading and/or participating in the peer review process
- Ability to perform and analyze circuit card level testing
- Work with Business Development and Program Management to present electronic Fuzing designs and design capabilities to customers.

Basic Qualifications:
- LEVEL 1: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- LEVEL 2: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Masters Degree and 0+ years of experience
- Experience in the areas of analog and digital design
- Experience in modeling and simulation of the electrical systems
- Coding experience with computer programs such as Python or desire to learn.
- Experience with electronics lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes and function generators.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and organize/prioritize job assignments in a rapidly changing, short turn-around environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project).
- Ability to travel occasionally to meet with customers and suppliers.
- Security regulations require that the individual must be a U.S. citizen and must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance to a level of SECRET.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in defense or aerospace industry preferred.
